There is No Way to Fool God

Read: Psalms 51:3-9 / Matthew 23:13-28

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Psalms 51:6 KJV

The military word “camouflage” is defined as the disguising of personnel.

It is done by covering them in a way that they blend in with their surroundings.

This is good when we are fighting a worldly battle, but not a spiritual one.

Many of us walk through life trying to hide the things we have done, the things we are feeling, and our need to stop trying to cover things up.

We can try all day long to blend in with our surroundings.

It does not protect us.

We should never think that we can fool God.

Deep down, we should want to acknowledge the battles we face and gain the wisdom we need to defeat the enemy.

To get and stay on the right track.

Always remembering that the Lord has no problem with openly expressing His disapproval and punishing us for our actions just like He did with the Pharisees (Matthew 23:13-28).

The Lord sees our ways and knows our hearts.

We cannot hide from Him.

We really need to be like David.

“[Praying] for mercy, humbly confessing and lamenting [our] sins” (Psalms 41:1-6).

Wanting a change in heart, while receiving the wisdom God gives.

We should be promising to no longer let sin have victory over our lives.

Having a change of heart and receiving the wisdom God desires to give us.

Knowing that our change will come when we accept the leadership and guidance the Lord wants to provide.

When we remain sincere in our endeavors, we can expect only the good that comes from His Divine grace.

To be the one that is victorious.

God’s infinite mercy, pardons our sins and gives us peace,

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we should all have a deep sense regarding our sins. Thinking about all the sorrow and shame they can bring us. There is no place we can hide that You won’t see them. Help us to make the necessary changes in our lives. Putting the past behind us. We want to be more like You.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
