Things Are So Much Better When You Do – Praise

Read: Exodus 15:1-21

Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. Exodus 15:1 KJV

At the time of this post, Hurricane Idalia is hitting many places and threatens Florida, where I live.

As it always happens, the Lord gives me a Word that fits what I am feeling at that moment.

Sometimes He gives me one to fit what is about to come.

In His wisdom, He made it where Exodus 15 was my read for the day.

Showing me the reason to continue to praise and worship, no matter the situation.

It wasn’t that I didn’t already know this.

I’m constantly praising Him throughout my day.

It’s was just His way of letting me know to keep doing it.

The fact that if He did it way back then, He can still do it now.

In this chapter, the Israelites were giving honor to God.

Just hours before the Lord had rescued them.

He had protected them from the wrath of the Egyptians, and their praises reflected their renewed trust in God.

They were praising Him after the fact.

And they should.

He was showing me that I would be giving Him yet another victory praise.

We all know it’s easy to want to pour out our praise when we see Him work in great and mighty way.

But we need to give Him praise before, during and after anything happens in our lives.

Each day is going to bring something our way.

He has performed miracle after miracle in our lives.

That despite what was going on to continue with my praise and worship.

Sing praises to the Lord for He deserves all the praise.

No matter what we are going through.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior, we sing a song of praise to You.You have control over anything that happens in our lives. You are the God of all creation, power, love and our salvation. Because of who You are in our lives, praise flows naturally to You. With all our heart we will give You praise. Unconditional praise and worship is what You deserve. Thank You for it all.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
