Today’s Reading: Psalms 34:1-10
Today’s Verse: “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Psalms 34:8 KJV
I feel good every time I think about Jesus.
When I read the Word it brings me joy. Reflecting on Him brings me peace.
Today’s verse is our encouragement to personally experience God’s goodness. To find safety in Him. To put our trust in Him.
“O taste and see.” An invitation for us to personally experience and know of God’s goodness. It is something we should desire to experience and enjoy.
“Take Refuge,” “Trust.” We can always find shelter and protection in God.
“Blessed.” We will find deep spiritual joy and happiness. It will always be found when we trust God rather than relying on our own strength.
David’s prayers helped to silence his fears. He praises God and encourages others to trust Him. He is giving us an invitation. One we all should accept.
Many besides David have looked unto the Lord with faith and prayer.
It is wonderful to be revived and comforted by Him.
Let us allow our minds to dwell on His love. It will always bring us peace and comfort.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we want to taste of Your goodness. We want to see Your blessings manifested in our lives. Like David, we take comfort in knowing that You are there for us. We no longer put trust in ourselves. We no longer think our own efforts are sufficient. Every time we think about all You have done and will do in our lives, we feel good. Thank You Father.
