This is what Happens When Genuine Good Works Recognized

Read: Matthew 26:6-13

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. Matthew 26:13 KJV

To honor means to show respect and esteem to another.

To praise them and acknowledge how important they are in our lives.

That they are valued and appreciated.

Jesus showed us the importance of showing honor and tribute to one another.

When a woman poured a costly fragrance on His head, He told her that she would be honored for years to come (Matthew 26:13 KJV).

The disciples felt this act was wasteful.

Jesus did not feel this way.

“When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.” (Matthew 26:10 KJV).

And that it should “be told for a memorial of her” (Matthew 23:13 KJV).

We know that there are many people who have given their lives in service.

Be it their primary occupation, military or in another area of life.

As the Lord has told us, no matter our status in life, what we do for the Kingdom is to be honored.

The sacrifices that we make have meaning.

Let us take the time to remember that as followers of Christ, when we honor one another, we honor God.

An honor because His love is within us.

All of which is found in the Word.

A love that helps us to do things according to His will.

That keeps us living according to His way.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that as Your servants the more we are to show faith and love. We know that where this exists others see You. May we continue to show our appreciation for all that You have done and are doing in our lives. To have a memorial put in place. To see Your prophesy fulfilled. Thank You Father.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
