God Receives Us All

Read: Acts 10:34-38

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons. Acts 10:34 KJV

Segregation is something that is seen all over the world.

It is a set of ideas in which one group of people desires to keep others apart from them based on their race, sex, or religion.

It can be seen in neighborhoods, schools, and churches to this day.

Some in society still deny the truth that every human being, regardless of their social status, race, religious belief, education, or heritage, is loved of God.

He desires to bless all of us.

The Lord has even talked about this happening in the Word.

There were members of the early church that struggled with this same truth.

They had a hard time with believing that certain people were, no matter their birthright, was loved of God.

Peter was one who had a problem with Gentiles.

He felt that allowing them to be a part of their society would be like saying, the law of Moses was dead.

But after receiving a Divine vision, he knew the true meaning of everyone being able to serve the Lord.

He shocked those that would listen about the revelation he had been given.

He told them, “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. (Acts 10:34-35 NIV).

The Father knows what services are before us.

Who He has chosen to be in a place of discipleship.

Which is what He desires for us all.

But He knows there will be some who still does not see it His way.

That is why He is still touching the hearts of those who desire to do His will.

Those that are willing to receive what He says and do things the right way.

He prepares us because He knows we will face many difficulties along the way.

We may not always understand why it is happening the way it is.

That is when we must remember the meaning of what He has taught us.

We don’t want to be the one that keeps anyone else from getting what the Lord desires for their lives.

We want to be like Peter and say, we know that “God is no respecter of persons.”

God opens His arms wide to everyone to extend His love.

Let us do the same in His power.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know there will be those who still believe that they are the only ones that are receiving Your blessings. We know that is not true. We are grateful that You are not looking at a person based on their race, sex, or family background. That You are looking at the inner man and all that he possesses to be a blessing to the ministry. Thank You Lord for receiving us with open arms.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
