Now and Forever

Read: Psalms 121

(A Song of degrees.) I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

Psalms 121:1 KJV

Problems are defined as a task, a situation, or a person which is difficult to deal with.

They are sometimes hard to control because of how complex they can be.

When we understand our problems, we can create effective goals that lead to effective results.

The good thing is, we don’t have to do it on our own.

What is true in our physical lives is also true in our spiritual lives.

Prayer and our looking to the Lord for help should be our goal.

The best way to get effective results.

The psalmist indicated this when he said, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help” (Psalms 121:1).

He was looking at the hills of Jerusalem, the city of God.

He was looking at the hills because he recognized his need to look to God for the care and protection that he needed.

Receiving that which would calm his anxious heart.

We too can look to the hills from which cometh our help.

We grow tired when we focus on our problems.

We need to see that all our help is in the Lord.

From Him we can expect it.

All can be resolved when we turn our attention to the far horizon of God’s providence and love.

Remembering it comes in His own way and time.

When we do, we gain a new perspective of our situations.

Don’t lose focus on the Lord.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, the problems that we face each day can seem too much to bear. This verse in Psalms teaches us to comfort ourselves in the Lord. No matter the difficulties and problems we face. Reminding us that until we turn our eyes to the Lord ad trust Him our problems with overcome us. We are staying focused on Him.
