God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalms 56:1 KJV
No one can really say there has never been a time when there was a need for help in a number of areas of their life.
We may find ourselves in a situation where we need guidance on how to complete a project.
There will be times when we just need a shoulder to lean on.
Friends and loved ones may not be around and we feel all alone.
Those are the times we need to lean on the Word.
For everything we go through, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalms 56:1 KJV).
He is there to guide us in faith and through everything we face in life.
From our childhood, middle age, to adulthood.
On and off our jobs, even in our social activities.
When in doubt, always look to the Word.
God has been a help to the fatherless (Psalms 10:14 KJV)
To those who trust Him (Psalms 28:7 KJV).
To the poor and the needy (Psalms 72:12 KJV).
He is even there for those who are weak in faith (Mark 9:23, 24 KJV).
All we must do is keep our hope and trust in Him.
Call on Him and seek His face (Psalms 27:9 KJV).
Never losing faith in His power and never-ending presence in our lives.
So, anytime a spiritual enemy comes our way, as believers in Christ we will find the encouragement we need to be conquerors of them all.
Confidence in God is what we need.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that “Selah” is a synonym in Hebrew that means “forever.” It is also related to the Hebrew root word “salal” which means to “raise voices in praise” or “make the instruments louder.” That is what we will do to acknowledge that we have confidence in You. That we glorify You for all that You do. For all the time You comfort and strengthen us. You are an ever-present help. The One we need in times of trouble. Thank You for always being there. Selah!
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
