How to Have No Darkness – More Fantastic, Glorious Light

READ: Ephesians 5:5-11

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8 KJV

Every day there is someone that is noticing how we carry ourselves.

As Christians we are to live a life according to the Word every day of our lives, no matter where we are.

When we come together for church services, we praise and honor God.

We are in the company of other saints and the Word is giving us the knowledge we need to keep pressing forward.

Unfortunately for some, they receive it while they are in the service, but lose it when they leave.

They let the things that are happening throughout the week cause them to forget what the Lord has told them.

What we hear and learn on our Christian journey is something we need to acknowledge every day.

In no way are we to dishonor God.

Our living right is not to be limited to attending church services or a certain day.

Paul has told us that we are not to think this way.

That we are not to feel like there are only certain times to do His will.

We are to show love to others (v.2), be mindful of immoral behavior (v.3), and to be mindful of the words we speak (v.4).

He has told us to be careful of the way we live (v.15) and to make the most of the time we have (v.16).

We each should take a moment to evaluate our lives.

None of us know the day or the hour when the Lord may call us home.

We all have things He is still waiting on us to acknowledge.

To make the needed changes before it is too late.

We must ask ourselves where we are in our Christian walk.

Are we really living a lifestyle of Christianity?

Do we really realize that how we live is a testimony of our faith?

Before we gave our lives to Christ we were living in darkness (v.8).

Realizing and confessing our sins.

Receiving His forgiveness.

Now we are a light in the Lord and to walk as His children (v:8).

Everyday He wants us to grow stronger in the Word and what He has ordained for each of our lives.

Do not let the time pass you by without acknowledging the Word.

Living for the Savior is something we are to do every moment of the day.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, to live a Christian life is what You desire for each of our lives. Not just on certain days, but every day. Doing things according to the Word is the best way. It will always make for a wonderful day. Let us strive to please You in all we do. Destroying the ways of darkness and walking as children of the Light.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
