For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Matthew 24:21 KJV
Every day we take the time to see what the weather is going to be like.
We want to be prepared so we can dress the right way.
To make sure if we need a coat or umbrella.
Checking so if a storm is coming, we have what we need.
Ensuring we have a plan for survival or a place to seek shelter.
Taking nothing for granted, we want to make sure that we are safe.
That we are caring about the safety of others.
The same holds true in our spiritual lives.
We are just like the weatherperson who warns of upcoming storms.
Every day we must be mindful of our actions and the actions of others.
The Lord has warned us that a time is coming when the sinful and rebellious of this world will face the storm of judgement.
There are some who have prepared for it and others that have not.
To them the Biblical warnings of this great tribulation meant nothing to them.
They chose to ignore them.
The Lord has said, “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” Matthew 25:13 KJV.
He has told us that when the gospel has done its work the world will come to an end.
He is telling us, so we know how to conduct ourselves and find comfort in knowing His plans.
The wrath of God will fall.
He will judge all the sins of humankind.
He showed us the preparations we need to make to show we trust Him and wish to escape the storms that come about in our lives.
As Christians, we are to help spread the Word.
To help those who are still living in sin, repent of their ways.
To send the warning of the storm that is coming before it is too late.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, the storms of life are always raging. Your Word has warned us of their coming. It has also told us how to prepare for them. How You are there to protect us from them all. Let us be ready to tell others about them and lead them to Your place of safety before it is too late. You are greater than anything this world brings. The doors of salvation are always open to Your shelter of protection. We just need to put our faith and trust in You.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
