Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12 KJV
There will be times when we can’t make heads or tails of what we are trying to accomplish.
Struggling to figure things out.
We almost reach a point of giving up.
Don’t give up.
To achieve our goals, there will always be a need for something or someone to help us keep moving in the right direction.
We are all striving to be successful in some area of our lives.
Motivation is something we all need.
It is a process, but when we keep having a goal-directed behavior, we can do what is needed.
In this passage, even the Apostle acknowledged that he had not accomplished all his goals.
That he was not perfect.
But he was following after the Lord.
That way he could get the true picture of how to do things (Philippians 3:12 KJV).
Trusting in the Lord for guidance, that should be our motivation too.
Going forward, let us forget about the things behind.
Staying motivated to keep reaching forward.
Getting all the knowledge that the Lord has promised for those who are faithful.
Keep pressing on in His service.
The more we put our trust in His guidance, we will receive our reward in the end.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, there are so many things we desire to do in our lifetime. We know we are going to have times when we feel like giving up. Help us to remember that in You we have the best Advisor anyone could ask for. Your guidance is what we need to make the paths we take easy and doable. Thank You for always being there for us.
