For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. Matthew 10:20 KJV
As a servant of Christ, we are ambassadors of peace to whatever place we are sent.
We often feel uncomfortable when we encounter someone that needs a Word of inspiration.
Usually, it is because we already feel their emotional state says otherwise.
The way they look and speak indicates they are in a state of denial, and we feel that nothing we say will help change their situation.
The Word has told us to still attempt.
The Lord will lead us just like He did the disciples.
He told them they would face hostile authorities as they went about spreading the Word.
How they didn’t have to worry about how they could do it.
He told them, “It is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you” (Matthew 10:20 NIV).
God is our source of all true wisdom.
A wisdom that when we speak in those crucial moments, the fear we feel will have no bearing on us.
He will guide us on how to act toward those that refuse to listen.
Because there will always be someone who does.
However, this is not to stop us.
The Word of God must be declared.
Our obedience to this calling is important.
When we fail to heed it, we put ourselves in a position not pleasing God.
He desires for us to spread the Word of Wisdom to as many that will listen.
Not to let those who won’t stop us from reaching those who will.
True wisdom begins with a heart full of faith.
We learn a great deal as we grow in it and follow His lead.
Be the one that is willing to serve.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, there are times when we feel we are speaking to others in vain. We become discouraged and begin to lose hope. That is when we must remember what You have told us. We need to remember that what we say is coming from You. They are the Words of wisdom that all men need. So, no matter how hard it may be, let us continue to speak because there will be someone who needs it and will listen.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
