A Direct Line

Read: Psalms 34

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

Psalms 14:15 KJV

The experience of making a business call and constantly getting a busy signal is frustrating.

When you try again later, you get a recorded message.

One that gives you different options regarding the type of call you are making.

You make your choice, get placed on hold, and music plays.

A few minutes go by, then another recording comes on.

This time saying that there are still others calls ahead of you. That someone will be with you shortly. Thanking you for your patience.

The music begins to play again.

You hear this message again. This has gone on for a long time.

Frustration sets in, and you decide to hang up.

It is good to know that when we place a call to the Lord, His Heavenly prayer-line is never busy.

That is what David is telling us when he said, “The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry” (Psalms 34:15).

When we call on the Lord, we have a direct line connection.

We get to speak directly to Him without delay.

There are no recorded messages or options.

We are not placed on hold.

He is always available to hear our prayers and respond to them.

We may not get an immediate answer or the response we desire.

But we know that because of the awesome prayer promises in the Bible, we know that we have been heard.

He knows what our concerns are and will get with us on the plan He knows will help in our situation.

It is wonderful to know that there is no such thing as a prayer runaround.

That all our prayers, in Jesus’ name, are a direct line to God.

He is always looking out for us.

Ready to answer our calls.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, there are times we are unsuccessful, when we try to contact others. It is a blessing to know that Your lines of communication are never busy. That we can make it common practice to call out to You in our times of distress to find the answers and comfort that we need. They may not come when we want them, but they are always on time. Thank You Father.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
