(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. Matthew 6:32 KJV
Life places demands on us every day.
There have been times when we all have faced a situation that has left us wondering how we were going to make ends meet.
We try to trust in our own resources, but still find ourselves needing more help.
Those are the times we must remember that prayer is the key, and our faith unlocks many doors.
A resource that should have been first on our list.
Because our Heavenly Father knows what our needs are and is there to provide according to all His wisdom and what He knows is best for us (Matthew 6:32).
We must keep our trust in Him.
A good point of reference that we can do this is found in 2 Kings 4.
There was a certain woman whose husband had died and left her, along with their sons, with a debt that needed to be paid (v.1).
She was a praying woman, looking to God for assistance before approaching Elisha, another servant of God, with her situation.
She believed that God truly cared for her and would give her the wisdom needed to guide her while talking with him.
Praying that things would end on a positive note.
God did just that.
He more than provided for the needs of this widow and her family (vv. 5-6).
He blessed them with an overflow.
He will do the same for us when we pray and seek His guidance.
Our comfort is in knowing that the Father is always there for us to gain strength, courage and victory through it all.
He can and will do the same for each of us when we keep faith and follow His commands.
Miracles happen in the lives of His children every day.
What we need is never beyond God’s resources.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we are grateful for how You have never failed to give us the things that we truly need in our lives. It is amazing how patient You have been with us. May we continue to realize what it means to seek Your help before we try to do anything on our own. That happy are those who take You as their God and trust in Your wisdom. You are the greatest resource that we have.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
