Rest And Wait

Read: Psalms 37:4-10 / Psalms 70

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Psalms 37:7 KJV

Depending on what we are trying to accomplish or understand, waiting can be hard.

We often become frustrated and wonder why things aren’t working out the way we want them too.

Those are the times we need to review our situation.

Take steps back and do as the Lord said.

We are to “rest in [Him] and wait patiently for Him” (v.7).

Knowing He will give us the guidance needed to make the right decisions.

That in all our waiting, we learn to endure and to trust in God’s goodness and love (Psalms 70:5).

A positive because we become more able to determine when it is the right time to take the next steps.

We are not to worry about those who gain prosperity in “their own” way, because their actions bring about much wickedness (Psalms 37:7).

Not letting anger, our mindset, or the things of the world have control over our situations. We are to do no evil (v.8).

Resting and waiting on the Lord keeps us on the right track and ensures our inheritance (v.9).

We should find satisfaction in knowing that God is making everything work out for our good.

God will always provide for those who rest and patiently wait on Him.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, each day our waiting seems to get harder. We want things to change right away. It is good to know that when we patiently wait, You will provide us with all that we could ever ask for. All that is right for our lives. That when we stop letting situations have control in our lives, You grant us a never-ending peace that the world could never give us. Thank You for being there for us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
