Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. Psalms 103:13 KJV
We know it causes so much sorrow to the Lord when He sees men that neglect or abuse their children.
It continues to happen to this day.
It is all because society is still moving further away from Biblical beliefs and principles.
It is a blessing to know that there are still many devoted Christian fathers.
They are notable examples of what it means to be compassionate.
The ones that are not ashamed to express their feelings for their children.
He instructs his children when they are weak in knowledge.
He comforts them when they are sick.
When they have fallen, he helps them rise.
When they have offended, and ask for forgiveness, he grants it.
The Bible has given us many examples of how we can come to Lord and how He is there for us.
In John 4, we see where the nobleman was a compassionate father.
He was concerned about his son and kept requesting from Jesus that he be healed.
He even kept asking when Jesus seemingly responded to him in a cool manner (John 4:48-49 KJV).
An example that even as a nobleman, he was not too proud to show that he was concerned about his child’s well-being and humbly ask for help.
The Lord is always considering the needs of those who fear Him and call upon His name.
He teaches, picks us up, and grants forgiveness.
His compassion is always there for us.
A child is more likely to see God as Father when he sees God in his father.
It is not too late.
Now is the time to decide the type of father you will be.
The type of parent we all can be.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we know that the compassion of a Christian father reflects the heart of You. There are still some who need to come to know You. To learn about Your ways. May they take stock of themselves and the needs of their children. Letting the child see that You are a big part of their lives and how they do things. You are the greatest example of what the Father wants in our lives.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
