Empower: The Most Authentic Way to Daily Live

Today’s Reading: Psalms 51:7-15

Today’s Verse: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalms 51:10 KJV

We know that prayer is something sacred. It can be a request for help. It can be an expression of thanks. Both are addressed to God as a form of worship.

King David’s prayer in this passage expresses his repentance. He is asking for spiritual renewal. For there to be an inner change after his sin with Bathsheba. He was asking God to change his heart and spirit.

His confession acknowledged his need for divine intervention to purify his heart.
He knew he could not do it on his own.

He wanted a renewal of his inner man. One that washed away his sin, guilt, and shame. One that would align with God.

He wanted God to bring stability and honesty to his spirit. He wanted to be in a position to follow God’s ways. No longer falling into temptation.

This prayer is intended to inspire spiritual growth each day.

God desires true inner repentance from all of us. Not just outward obedience.

Just as David did in his prayer, we should seek God’s ongoing presence in our lives. To receive the joy of His salvation (Psalms 51:10-12 KJV).

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we seek Your ongoing presence. We want You to create in us a clean heart. We want You to renew a right spirit within us. Free us from our sins and failures. We want to be a testimony to others of Your mercy. We want to remain steadfast in the Word. Thank You for our spiritual renewal.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
