Leadership is shown by someone who inspires passion and motivation in followers.
They have a vision and a path to fulfilling it.
They show characteristics of courage, respect, kindness, and gratitude.
To be a leader can be exhausting. but it is easy when we follow the Lord’s example of leadership.
He is the best example of what it means to lead.
We are not to try to do things our way and miss out on the joy and freedom found when we follow Him (John 8:32,36).
No matter our status, when we become willing servants, and the more we seek Him and His guidance, our labor will not be in vain.
His assistance is so powerful and encouraging that all we go through can be seen as a yoke of pleasantness.
So suitable are His Words of encouragement, we become “meek and lowly in heart” (v.29), just like Him.
Following His lead gives us strength.
He gives us everything we need so that we may truly say that all we go through can be seen as a yoke of pleasantness.
He leads us in the way of hope and healing.
At the end of it all we “shall find rest unto [our] souls” (v.29).
A true freedom that can only be found when we follow the Lord’s leading.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we come before You ready to take on the yoke and lean from You. We know that with Your leadership, we will receive the best guidance ever known to man. It will give us the ability to be gentle and humble in our hearts. That when we do this, we will find rest for our souls. Thank You for being our gentle and humble leader.
