Today’s Reading: Deuteronomy 1:7-18
Today’s Verse: “The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.” Deuteronomy 1:10 KJV
Gratitude is a spirit of thankfulness.
It often results in a desire to say “thank you” or to return kindness.
This verse highlights God’s faithfulness. His covenant promises to Abraham. A promise to make his descendants numerous (Genesis 15:5 KJV).
It marks the transition of a new generation. One that would be massive and ready to enter the Promised Land.
Moses had confirmed that God had increased Israel. God increased them from a small family to a large nation.
He provided encouragement. The promise Abraham received was now a reality. They were standing on the edge of Canaan.
A testimony of God’s loyalty. One that would last for generations to come.
To this day God continues to keep this promise. He is keeping it even when we think they seem impossible.
Each day, we receive blessings from God.
“Behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude” (Deuteronomy 1:10 KJV). Believers experience spiritual growth.
He is blessing us, so we are as numerous and bright as the stars in the sky.
Let us focus on showing gratitude for our increase. For the numerous efforts of God to bless us. For His fulfilment of the promises to bless us.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know You are the source of increase in our lives. You do it spiritually, emotionally, and in our endeavors. You always keep Your Word. The more we continue to increase our efforts and love, we know our faith will increase thousands of times more as declared in Your Word. You will help us break our dependency on the world. To rely on You. Thank You for Your faithfulness. For not forgetting Your promises. Continue to bless the works of our hands. We want to bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
