They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3:23 KJV
In this lifetime there will be constant change.
We all know how it feels.
We think we are at the point of completing something when all of a sudden things change.
Because of the change, we feel out of control.
This is why we all need to be prepared for change.
Our best way of surviving is to expect the unexpected.
But most of all, to remember each day that God is timely and in control.
He is firmly in control even when our situations indicate something else.
That is the kind of feelings Prophet Jeremiah probably felt as a result of severe and damaging change.
His were as a result felt when King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon conquered Jerusalem.
How he deported the people, and reduced the city to rubble.
But through it all, Jeremiah continued to strive.
He acknowledged God’s faithfulness and control.
He wrote, “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness (Lam. 3:22-23).
He acknowledged that the Lord is always there.
That he was never alone.
The same holds true in our lives.
We should observe what is for us, as well as what is against us.
There will always be times that are bad.
Those are the times we must remember it is because we receive the mercy of God that they are not worse.
That our troubles come and work for our good.
They help to make us humble, not worldly.
Keeping us from doing things that would have been considered proud and unruly.
That no matter our circumstances, we have the power to face them.
We can face them because we have a faithful God who is in control.
In this changing world, we can always count on our unchanging God.
It is our duty.
Because of the faithfulness of the Lord we will find comfort.
A comfort full of strength, and satisfaction.
We just have to trust and believe.
God never changes.
His compassion is always there.
All the blessings He desires us to receive, He gives.
There is none like Him.
Faithful and mighty is our God.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we should all be mindful of the things that are for us, as well as, the things that are against us. Knowing that Your compassion is always there for us. That no matter what is happening in the world today to let the Word continue to prosper in our lives. Great is Your faithfulness. Thank You for all You are doing in our lives.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
