For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. Job 19:25-26 KJV
A farsighted person is someone who understands what is likely to happen in the future.
With this understanding they tend to make wise decisions and plans.
Each of us will have things we are going through.
Things that leave us wondering why it is happening to us.
How we will handle them.
Leading us to pray and seek the Lord.
Knowing that He is the Help we need to make the decisions on which way we should handle them.
To have “Farsighted Faith.”
A faith that will bring us through things on earth leading to an even better life in death.
Job even expressed his dislike for the trials and his feelings regarding death.
At some point, he looked beyond it all.
He became a witness.
Confessing and declaring his faith and hope.
Job saw that no matter what he was going through and beyond the grave he would be set free and rewarded by God.
He may have had questions, but he never let go of his confidence in God.
That is what our farsighted faith needs to look like.
We will have questions and doubts, but we know we can look to the Lord for guidance.
Guidance that helps build our faith.
A faith that looks beyond this life with the hope of eternity.
A farsighted faith that sees God in the dark as well as in the light.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we all can have a moment of disbelief because of the things that happen in life. Farsighted faith is what we all need, and we know we get it when we put our trust in You. Just like Job, we may have friends with different opinions concerning what we are taught. But we are to keep our belief in a living Redeemer. To look for the resurrection of the dead and eternal life in the world to come. Thank You Father.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
