But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1 Corinthians 15:20 KJV
Life and death.
Two things that are a given.
We rejoice when a child is born.
Enjoying all the precious moments.
The same holds true when we spend time with our families and friends.
We enjoy each precious moment.
Enjoying them because we never know when we, or someone close to us, will be called home to meet the Savior.
We know when death takes a loved one, our grieving will be painful and sometimes takes a long time to overcome.
It is a natural response to any loss.
No one can say how we will react to the loss.
We all handle grief differently.
There is nothing more comforting than knowing we can face tomorrow.
Appreciating the love shown by those around us.
But it is even more comfort in knowing that the Lord is there for us too.
All hours of the day and night.
The more we rely on our relationship with Christ, the better able we are to obtain the comfort and hope that we need.
His comfort and help will help us to face tomorrow and the days ahead.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we all know there is a time to be born and a time for each of us to take an eternal rest. All because You gave Your life as a ransom for our sins. We rejoice in knowing that by faith we will be united with You and see our loved ones again. Thank You for it all.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
