The Nature of It All

Read: Psalms 119:65-72

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. Psalms 119:71 KJV

Many times, we don’t really look at something until it affects us.

Then we begin to read and research to get a better understanding.

There will be some things that happen in our lives, and we don’t understand why they are happening.

Great disappointments that may seem bad but could be worse.

Things that the world is not able to satisfy.

For some of us, the anger we begin to feel, causes us to cry out to God.

We think He is not around to help us, but He is.

God is not taking pleasure in our pains.

He sometimes lets things happen that we might learn the lines that mark the limits of life.

The things we should or should not do.

They are happening for our good.

He is offering us the help and spiritual health we will need to get through any difficulties we face in life.

In Jeremiah 29:11, He tells us, He has a plan for us.

Plans to prosper us and not to harm us.

He wants to give us hope and a future.

So, when things happen, let us not question God.

Making a promise not to complain about our situation but reaffirm our trust in His goodness.

Knowing that those are the times we need to pray to Him for wisdom.

Our true understanding comes from Him.

Then, and only then, will we discover that our burdens are a blessing in disguise.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, help us to remember that the rains, the storms, and our sleepless nights that come are just happening for a moment. They are the ways You teach us how we can overcome the burdens we face in life. How to rely on the Word to bring us through. When we pray and hear Your voice there will be blessings of peace and protection. Thank You Father.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
