Read: Psalms 55:16-23

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Psalms 55:17 KJV

Here in Florida, during this time of year, it is considered Hurricane Season.

Times when storms can occur that flood certain areas, cause power outages, and does damages to many areas.

Depending on the damage, making connections with our loved ones or emergency contacts might not be available.

It is a blessing to know that we have a greater way of communicating.

It is prayer. Our best way to call the Father.

We can connect with the Him in any situation.

We don’t have to depend on electricity, phone lines or satellite uplinks.

We never have to worry that our connection will fail.

When trouble comes our way, we can call the Savior and tell Him what we want.

He is available 24 hours a day.

It doesn’t matter how big our problem may be.

The Savior has promised that He would take care of us.

In this passage, the psalmist has a testimony.

One that we all should take to heart.

He testified that he could communicate with God in the evening, in the morning, and at noon.

That he would cry aloud, and He would hear his voice.

There is no need for us to give advance notice or make an appointment.

We can talk to the Lord directly.

All hours of the day.

Letting Him know our requests.

Giving Him praise.

Showing our love.

When we pray, we no longer must worry about the things ahead of us.

Just continue to live right, pray, and believe.

What a blessing it is to know that God doesn’t use an answering machine.

That He takes each call personally.

That by the end of the call, He is already making everything alright.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, no matter what we want to talk about, we can always be sure we can talk to You. We can call You in the morning, in the middle of the night. Knowing that when we call You, You will make everything alright. Thank You for being there when we face hard times, stumble, and fall. For the promise that You would take care of us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
