What He Has Done – Give Thanks

Read: Hebrews 4:12-16 / Hebrews 2:9-18

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15 KJV

Tragedies are happening all around us.

There are people without homes, in financial situations, dealing with illnesses and addictions.

We hear so much about killings, fear for our safety and the safety of others.

If we aren’t careful, we will let things cause us to listen to the wrong person.

To do things the wrong way if we aren’t careful.

When everything seems to be going wrong, that is when we must remember that we can go to the Lord in prayer.

It is a blessing that we can pray to the Lord who understands what we are going through.

He understands because He took on the image of man.

Identifying with all the temptations and experiences facing man.

Gaining the knowledge and understanding about all the heartaches, pains, and afflictions we face.

Some don’t believe He understands what they are going through.

That is why they allow the temptations of the world to rule in their lives.

We are thankful for those who truly believe.

They know the Lord, Himself suffered being tempted (Hebrews 2:18) but was without sin (Hebrews 4:15).

That He is One that will bring us through it all.

He saw all the things that man was going through and made the sacrifice for our sins (Hebrews 2:17).

He took all our sins, our shame, our illnesses and made it possible for all our pains to be healed.

It may not happen in the way we want it, but we can find peace in knowing He is looking out for us.

He is the example we need to remind us that we can overcome the sins of the world.

That we can endure anything the comes our way during our lifetime.

For all that He has done.

For all that He has given us.

For every burden we have overcome and will continue to overcome.

For the blessings we receive in this life.

For the everlasting life to come.

We should never cease to give worship, praise, and give Him thanks.

Showing thanks because we have an understanding High Priest and Savior that was willing to sacrifice His life for us.

For it all, we must worship Him and never cease to give Him praise.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we come before You this day, to say that when sin and death come our way, we know we can come to Your seat of justice where all grace reigns. You are our comfort, our shelter, our power of refuge and strength. We daily depend on You to supply our needs. How thankful we are we have an understanding High Priest and Savior. Thank You Lord!

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
