When it is pitch black in a room, we hit the switch on the wall, and the room is filled with light.
Light is a source of illumination. It takes the darkness out and makes things clear; more easily seen.
Mankind tends to live in darkness.
That is why Christ sent forth his disciples.
They were the lights needed to show, by their lives and His doctrines how He had seasoned them with knowledge and grace.
Not hide what He had given them. To do good works so all men could see.
The same holds true for all of us.
Our lights must shine.
The Lord has blessed each of us with knowledge and grace.
As believers, He has told us we are the light of the world. That just like a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
We must let our light shine before all men that they may see our good works and glorify the Father in Heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16 KJV)

Father, help us to bring the joy You desire for us to others. Let us light up the world by reflecting the Lights of Wisdom, Knowledge and Love You desire for each of us. Hoping they will see the Light and Glorify You. Thanking You for the blessings.
