Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mark 9:23 KJV
It is only natural to want to do the right things when a loved one or someone we know is going through something.
We may not be able to stop their pain, fix their situation or have the words of encouragement they need, but we do know someone who could help them.
Praying in the name of Jesus is the powerful prayer that leads us into His mighty presence.
There we can make all our requests known.
The Apostle Mark tells us about a man who wanted to help his loved one.
He was a father who was frightened and in need of help for his suffering son. So, he brought him to Jesus (Mark 9:17).
As he stood before the Lord, he still had doubts, but told Him about their situation and acknowledged his need for the Lord to strengthen his belief (vv20-22, 24).
The Lord saw their desire to gain faith.
Because of this, the Lord stepped in and took control of the situation, allowing the father and son to experience freedom, hope, and peace (vv.25-27).
“All things are possible to him that believeth” (v.23).
When we pray our hard hearts are softened, and our doubts and fears relieved.
Making it possible for us, no matter how weak we feel, to endure to the end.
No longer letting unbelief have control.
We must look up to Christ for the grace we need to help us against anything we face.
Remembering that the Lord said, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
That prayer is the key, and our faith unlocks many doors (Philippians 4:5-7).
So, call on His powerful name and watch Him take care of it.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we never know what each day will bring. What we do know is that there is power in Your name. No matter the situation, when we trust and believe in You, all things are possible. We just need to call on Your name. Thank You for hearing our prayers. For the grace and strength You give us.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
