Guaranteed: Our Best Way to Victory in Our Lifetime

Read: 2 Corinthians 1:3-11

For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life. 2 Corinthians 1:8 KJV

Trials make us think.

There are times when life pains can become so overwhelming.

We find ourselves in a place of sadness.

Those are the times we need to let our thinking turn for the better.

To think about those things which make us wise.

Wisdom is the way to make our lives profitable.

The Apostle Paul was speaking to the church at Corinth about how his persecution in Asia was so intense that he “despaired even of life” (2 Corinthians 1:8 KJV).

He told them about how shifting his focus to his life sustaining God help him become resilient instead of overwhelmed.

He learned “that we should not rust in ourselves but in God” (2 Corinthians 1:9 KJV).

All our sweetest comforts come from God.

He is the One who speaks peace to our souls.

He does it by granting the free remission of sins.

We obtain the enlivening influence of the Holy Spirit, and the mercies of grace He desires to bestow on us.

Paul’s experiences encouraged his faith and hope.

Ones that should help us to realize our obligation to trust even more in God.

That we also should be helping one another through our prayers.

Remembering that if we live in this world, we can be certain that our all-sufficient God will always be there for us.

He will always help us to rise above our fears.

To get rid of it all with new hope.

We all have a Divine purpose.

Giving Him praise and thanksgiving for all He is doing in our lives.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, grant us the grace of learning how to put our trust in You. Especially when the burdens of life begin to get heavy. Learning that hope and wisdom will rise above it all. We know that when we come to You in prayer everything will end in good. Good for ourselves and others. Thank You for helping us overcome our burdens. To realize the Divine purpose, You have for our lives.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
