Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 KJV
There is an abundance of effort and time put into constructing and building any house or establishment.
The foundation is laid.
Then the framework begins to happen.
As time goes by, we cannot wait to see what it will be like when it is finished.
Soon we begin to see the changes occur.
The plumbing, roof, sidings, windows, floors, rooms, and doors are done.
The walls are painted, the floor carpeted, appliances and furniture put in place.
What had started was now completed.
It had taken some time, but it was now finished.
We know that with all things there will come a time when a change needs to be made in its form, appearance, and character.
As Christians, we go through the process where the foundation of the Word is laid in our lives.
As we read the Word and listen to our Spiritual Leaders, we begin to build on the structure in our lives.
It is finished to some point, but we still must continue to build on it.
There is always something that the Lord needs us to do or improve in our lives.
He is our foundation, and we can stand on the Word.
As Paul has said, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6 KJV).
That the Lord is the One that has all the things we need to survive in life.
That is why we are to obediently follow Him.
He is “the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2 KJV).
The Constructor of all things good.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we put all our confidence in You. We know that You will perform an excellent work in and through us as we obey Your Word. You are the firm foundations that will hold strong throughout our lives. The One that is still there when our work is complete. Thank You for seeing a masterpiece in each of us.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
