We all have our opinions on those who hold government or political positions.
Despite how we may feel about them, they are serving a purpose.
From the days of Genesis, these positions have been established by God for His own purposes.
It was to help preserve order.
Making it possible for people to live peaceful and quiet lives, in a sinful world.
No matter who is holding the position, it is the responsibility of every Christian to live and do things the right way.
The Apostle Paul has told us “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God” (Romans 13:1 KJV).
We may not understand why some things are happening.
What we do know is that in the end God’s putting governing authorities in place was to keep order in the world.
To keep evil at bay.
To punish those who are disobedient.
To reward those who do what is good.
We are never to forget that God is looking closely at how we do things.
There are many Scripture passages that tell us how battles were won when the people kept the faith.
When they listened to what God was telling them.
That is why we should strive to do things according to the Word.
The grace of the gospel teaches us everything we need to know to succeed in life.
God is forever in control.
We know that with anything we do in life, God holds the Highest Position.
That no matter our position, we need great wisdom.
All our wisdom comes from God.
He is over everything.
All we must do is keep praying for the wisdom and knowledge needed.
Trust and believe in Him.
With God all things are possible.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we thank You that You are in control of all that is happening in our lives. That You are in control of everything that is happening in the world and beyond. We pray that while we are here, You will use us in whatever way You choose. We want to be a faithful witness and bring glory to Your name. We pray for the leaders and government of this nation. We pray that You will expose and punish those not abiding by the Word. That You will put men and women of integrity into those positions to lead our country. We all want to live a peaceful and quiet life.
