There For Each Other

Read: Romans 12:9-18

Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Romans 12:13 KJV

Family, as we know it, means people that are related to one another through birth, marriage, or adoption.

There to help each other get through the hard times.

Families are important because they can offer support and security.

But most of all they show unconditional love.

Our family relationships don’t stop there.

There is more to it.

When we decide to receive Christ as our Savior, we are born again and become a part of an even bigger family.

A Spiritual community.

One that is not only our biological family but includes neighbors and friends.

It doesn’t matter where we come from, who our parents are, our family relationships, or what our status in life may be.

We are ready to help one another and show hospitality (v.13).

The Lord is our prime example of what it means to be there to give to one another in a time of need.

How to love each other (v.9) and consider the needs of others rather than just ourselves (v.10).

He is the One that is friendly and generous. Always letting us know that with Him we will be taken care of.

We know we can trust Him.

He won’t let us down.

He is always there to help and provide for each of us.

Because He loves and cares about us.

We know we cannot be there for everyone, but deep in our hearts, we all can do something.

Every act of kindness and love means much to someone in need.

The Lord is honored by our hope and trust in him, especially when we rejoice in that hope (v.12) and we show the same to one another (v.13).

We are one big family when we put our trust in Him.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we are thankful for the families we were born into. They mean so much to us. But we are even more thankful for the Spiritual family that we have been blessed to be a part of. With both families, let us stay in prayer for one another. Let us continue to look out for each others needs and show the hospitality You have always shown us. Finding the joy and patience that we need.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
