I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. Psalms 142:4 KJV
Troubles come at us from all sides.
We tend to keep them to ourselves and let them take up too much of our time, which does us no good.
Most of the time this happens because we feel like there is no one around us that cares about what we are going through. No one to cry out too.
David felt this way.
He was in a dark cave, hiding from Saul (1 Samuel 22:1, 24:3-10), and felt like no one cared about him.
But instead of letting his troubles overtake him, he prayed earnestly to the Lord.
Amid all his loneliness, David cast all his worries, cares, and complaints to Him.
He cried unto the Lord saying that the Lord was his refuge and his portion in the land of the living (Psalms 142:5).
Like David we can cry out and cast all our worries, cares, and complaints to the Lord.
Knowing that when our spirits are overcome with distress, filled with discouragement and we see snares laid for us on every side, the Lord is with us.
We must continue to walk in His way.
The Lord wants to be our companion in the dark caves we find ourselves in.
He cares for us.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, all our troubles can be easily faced when we put our trust in You. You are the One we can count on when we feel alone and like no one cares. Thank You for being with us and bringing us our of the dark caves of life.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
