Obstacles Can Work for Our Good

Read: Hebrews 10:19-25

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. Hebrews 10:24 KJV

Obstacles are things we face in life.

They can stand in the way of our progress or achievements.

Our persistence is the key to overcoming all the challenges we face.

We should never give up, but power through them.

There will be times when we need support.

Asking for the support we may need is not to be seen as a weakness.

We just know we can’t do it on our own.

It is good to know that there is always someone around to give us the support we need.

They desire to help and do it in “love and to good works” (v.24).

It is a sign of our true feelings.

One that says we see the desired end and want to help work through it together.

When we are there for each other we are a team.

A team that is striving to have victory at the end of it all.

Teamwork is urged in the Bible.

God has a plan in place. He desires for us to be there for each other.

A plan that shows us we can be an encouragement to one another through our faith in Jesus.

We are to “consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another” (Hebrews 10:24 NIV).

Not to feel that we must do things on our own in our faith walk.

As believers we are to consider what knowledge, skills, and abilities the Lord has blessed us with and how we can use them to be of service to each other.

Encouraging each other to keep pressing forward, showing love, and the practice of good works.

We all know that there is a trying day coming on all men.

The day we complete our life on earth (v.25).

Until then, let us continue to fellowship, encourage each other, and be a ready help for each other.

Remembering the communion of saints is a great help and privilege.

It shows our determination to be loyal and faithful to one another.

Our way of showing we do love and have a firm belief in the Lord.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that when we gather, we find help in one another. It is just one the ways we gain strength to remain firm in our beliefs. Remaining loyal and faithful in doing Your Will. We are thankful that You have given us the eyes to see the plans You have in store for our lives and the strength to be able help each other achieve them. We are keeping the faith.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
